House Dem leader demands Trump's followers be 'stopped' one hour after second attempt on Trump's life

Many believe that the nasty, violent rhetoric spewed by top Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media is what's sparking the repeated attempts on former President Donald Trump's life.

After the first assassination attempt, for about 24 hours, if that, all sides declared they would tone it down as the election approaches. But that quickly went by the wayside.

Now, according to Breitbart, in the wake of the second attempt on Trump's life, Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) ignored any sense of calming down, declaring that "MAGA Republicans" need to be stopped.

He was one of many Democrats and liberal pundits who carried on with the violent and divisive rhetoric even as Trump nearly lost his life on two occasions.

What did he say?

It didn't take but a single hour after the second attempt on Trump's life for Jeffries to post a disgusting, violence-ridden message on his X account geared toward Trump's supporters.

"Extreme MAGA Republicans are the party of a national abortion ban and Trump’s Project 2025," Jeffries said in an X post Sunday, adding, "We must stop them."

During a recent interview with Fox News, former President Trump weighed in on the latest attack against him by an unhinged, liberal lunatic.

"[The suspect] believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it," Trump said in the interview. "Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out."

Trump added, "It is called the enemy from within. They are the real threat."

Social media users react

Users across social media ripped Jeffries over his rhetoric, as many were perplexed that even he would make such a dangerous comment not long after the second assassination attempt.

"You 'must stop them?' Why would you post this after a second assassination attempt against President Trump’s life? This is inciting violence," The Persistence wrote on X.

Another X user wrote, "Looks like someone was listening to you. You belong in jail."

We can only hope and pray that God will continue to protect the former president and his family as the election draws near.
