While Hunter Biden's legal troubles have largely taken a backseat during the last few months of the election season, President-elect Donald Trump's landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris has changed the game for the president's son.

According to the Washington Examiner, Hunter Biden's lawyers are pushing hard for a pardon while President Joe Biden still has the executive power to make it happen.

Hilariously, Hunter Biden's lawyers recently published a document called "The political prosecutions of Hunter Biden," arguing in the lengthy scribe that Hunter Biden's tax and gun cases were "politically motivated."

Also, part of his lawyers' argument is the claim that they believe President-elect Trump will exact revenge by using his incoming Department of Justice. Rich, isn't it?

What's going on?

Hunter Biden has merely weeks before he faces sentencing by judges in California and Delaware for his two cases, and his attorneys want his father to essentially shield him from punishment.

The 52-page document laid out their reasoning as to why they believe Hunter Biden should be set free from his legal troubles

"A system that is supposed to protect against abuses failed to do so and was corrupted by political leaders in this country,” the document said.

They used the same argument that Hunter Biden make "mistakes" due to his drug addiction.

It added, “As a result, Hunter faces significant sentences for felonies and misdemeanors far beyond precedents of others committing less serious offenses or where civil resolutions or consent judgments are normally sought — all on the basis of his mistakes, made while in the throes of serious drug addiction."

It went on to claim that "There is no disputing that Trump has said his enemies list includes Hunter. The prospect that Trump will turn his vengeance on the Special Counsel prosecutors if they fail to take a harder line against Hunter no doubt exerts considerable pressure on them not to let up on Hunter."

Will dad step in?

While President Biden was campaigning -- before he was overthrown by his own party -- he vowed to not use his powers to pardon his son.

However, many believe that due to being tossed out of the race by his own people, President Biden may step in at the last minute and possibly pardon his son.

Notably, President-elect Trump, while still on the campaign trail, said he would consider a pardon for Hunter Biden.

Only time will tell if Hunter Biden is saved. The question is if he is, will it be by his own father or Mr. Trump?
