Husband outraged by Biden's decision to commute death sentence of wife's killer
President Joe Biden made headlines this weekend when he commuted the death sentences of 37 federal inmates to life in prison.
The president's move has sparked outrage, with the family of one victim publicly lashing out at the White House.
Husband says his wife "was shown no mercy at all"
According to the New York Post, South Carolina bank teller Donna Major was brutally gunned down during a robbery in 2017.
Her family recently spoke about her murder to Fox News' "Fox & Friends," with Major's husband, Danny Jenkins, saying that his wife "was shown no mercy at all."
"This man walked into the bank, never said two words to her," Jenkins said of Brandon Council, whom security footage showed opening fire at the CresCom Bank in Conway, South Carolina.
"Shot her three times in total," Jenkins continued. "He went and shot her coworker, Katie Skeen as well, who was totally defenseless and unaware of anything happening."
"I am upset that this is even happening"
"I was angry," Jenkins asserted when asked about Biden's decision to pardon Council along with 36 other convicted murderers.
"I’m still angry," he stressed. "I am upset that this is even happening, that one man can make this decision without even talking to the victims, without any regard for what we’ve been through, what we’re going through, and completely hurt, frustrated and angry."
This is not the first time Biden has been criticized for using his authority to grant clemency, as the president was also slammed over a series of pardon's he gave out earlier this month.
As Just the News reported, one of them went to former Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Conahan, who accepted over $2 million worth of kickbacks in exchange for sending juvenile offenders to a private prison.

Sandy Fonzo's son committed suicide after being sentenced by Conahan, and she told The Citizen's Voice that the pardon left her feeling "shocked" and "hurt."

"Conahan's actions destroyed families, including mine, and my son‘s death is a tragic reminder of the consequences of his abuse of power," Fonzo said.
"This pardon feels like an injustice for all of us who still suffer," she declared before adding, "Right now I am processing and doing the best I can to cope with the pain that this has brought back."
