Ilhan Omar issues profane response when asked about deportation controversy

Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar has long been known for making controversial and inflammatory public statements.

That trait was on display again this week when Omar was caught on camera directing profanity towards a reporter.  

"I think you should f--k off"

According to the Washington Examiner, the incident occurred on Thursday as she was being approached by a journalist from the Daily Caller.

When Omar was asked if more of her colleagues will travel to El Salvador and visit alleged gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, she replied, "I think you should f--k off."

Far from expressing remorse, Mediaite reported that Omar later doubled down on her profane message in a social media post, writing, "I said what I said. You and all your miserable trolls can f--k off."

Details of protection order revealed

While Garcia has become a cause célèbre for many on the left, Breitbart reported earlier this week that his wife sought an order of protection against him five years ago.

In her 2020 petition to a Maryland court, Jennifer Vasquez accused her husband of multiple violent incidents that saw him physically attack her and destroy property.

Vasquez claimed to have photographs which showed "all the bruises [he] left on my body" and alleged that Garcia had threatened her life.

She further asserted that Garcia "dragged me out of [a] car leaving me in the street" while also having "broke my son['s] tablet, broke doors in my house."

Assistant DHS secretary defends deportation

As Breitbart pointed out, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin touted Vasquez’s claims in a statement which defended Garcia's removal from the country.

"The facts are clear: Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a violent illegal alien who abuses women and children," the assistant secretary declared on Wednesday.

"He had no business being in our country and we are proud to have deported this violent thug," McLaughlin went on to assert.

She added, "We have now found two petitions for protection against him, in addition to the fact that he entered the country illegally and is a confirmed member of MS-13. Our country is safer with him gone."
