An illegal immigrant from El Salvador and MS-13 gang member has been charged with the rape and murder of a 20-year-old autistic woman from Maryland.

The 17-year-old suspect was reportedly allowed into the country by the Biden administration, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.

DHS released killer immigrant

The victim, Kayla Hamilton, had just moved to Aberdeen with her 22-year-old boyfriend when she was raped and strangled to death by the suspect in July.

The killer, whose identity has not been released, was arrested this month after DNA evidence tied him to the crime scene.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed the killer is an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who was listed as a member of the notoriously brutal MS-13 gang in his home country, but he was allowed into the U.S. despite this critical red flag.

The suspect was released into the country by the Department of Homeland Security as an Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) in early 2022, just months before committing his heinous act, according to Jon Feere of the Center for Immigration Studies.

An avoidable tragedy

During the Trump presidency, UACs were typically portrayed as victims of strict immigration enforcement with the mantra "kids in cages."

Roughly 300,000 UACs have been encountered at the border since Biden was inaugurated and over 100,000 were released into the country in 2021 alone.

As Breitbart notes, the majority of UACs released are adolescent boys, prime recruiting targets for violent gangs like MS-13.

Biden moved early on in his presidency to exempt UACs from being expelled under Trump’s Title 42 policy, and Biden continues to push a sweeping amnesty for so-called “dreamers” who entered the country illegally as children.

Illegal border crossings have hit all-time highs since Biden entered office and immediately moved to tie the hands of immigration agents, bringing untold numbers of unvetted, predominantly fighting-aged men into the country and large volumes of deadly drugs like fentanyl.

Hamilton's killer is being held in Harford County Detention Center without bail. The victim’s mother Tammy Nobles is distraught and in disbelief at what a "juvenile" did to her daughter.

“It’s been for me, many sleepless nights. My… I never thought I would take this journey on losing my daughter in such a horrific way and so soon," Nobles said. "When I found out that it was a juvenile, I was shocked. I was like, ‘A juvenile did this to her?’ Like I was really shocked. I could not believe a teenager could do this.”
