Independent voters worry about Biden's age: Survey

Independent voters are worried that President Joe Biden, at 81 years old, is too elderly to continue serving as president for another four years.

In preparation for the 2024 race, Biden and his staff are working to conceal the ravages of his advanced age, but public opinion polls reveal that Americans still doubt his mental and physical faculties, as Breitbart News reported.

One poll shows that majority of Democrats are “concerned” about Biden’s ability, according to the recent report.

Fifty-five percent of Americans say Biden’s health and age “severely” limit his ability to do the job. And registered voters have “major” concerns about Biden’s age and health.

What Voters Are Saying

“I guess my concern obviously would be [Biden’s] health, you know, that if anything ever happened, I mean, not to say that can’t happen to anybody, but as you get older, you’re more susceptible to falls and breaks and heart attacks,” Martina Kenny of Bedford, New Hampshire, told the Washington Post.

“I would be concerned about, you know, who’s going to take over if something ever happened to him,” Kenny said.

Most likely, the Biden campaign is most concerned about voters like Kenny's opinion. According to NBC News' sources, Biden's staff have urged the president to demonstrate “he still has the vigor to serve another term,” by making a "series of subtle shifts," as the sources put it.

Informal speeches, unexpected campaign stops, more social media activity, and decreased use of neckties are allegedly all part of the strategy adjustment.

“My biggest concern is his age,” Roland Nutter from Pepperell, Massachusetts, told the Post, noting that Biden has done a poor job as a president. “We need a younger generation,” Nutter said. “I thought we had passed a torch a while ago.”

Going Forward

Given Biden's almost endless gaffes and falls, it is difficult to say whether his campaign plan will succeed in winning over independent voters. Plenty of instances of Biden mumbling when he talks and frequently moving off topic after completing his speech have raised many an eyebrow. The sad scenes are that are captured on film and quickly gain traction on social media.

Standing up and keeping his temper in check are two things that Biden struggles with. He slipped, fell, and stumbled in front of the public at least five times in 2023 alone. Keeping his composure in the face of unwelcome inquiries has been a challenge for him, particularly those pertaining to allegations of corruption within the Biden family.

“Get your words straight, Jack!” Biden once shouted at a voter on the 2020 campaign trail. “No one has said my son has done anything wrong, and I did not on any occasion.”

“You’re a damn liar, man!” he snapped.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson pointed out that the president’s history of anger flashes is a common feature among elderly males with senility.

“Uncontrollable flashes of anger are common among people who are aging, particularly among men, and they often accompany senility,” Carlson explained. “Losing it is a very frustrating experience, and your heart goes out to anyone who is.”
