Ivanka Trump was recently caught partying with a woman who has, in the past, given voice to serious criticism of her father. 

The Daily Mail reports that the partying took place in New York City on Thursday evening.

Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, were there to celebrate the birthday of Kushner's brother Joshua. They did so at Katz's Deli in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. And, to the surprise of some, they were joined by Kaia Gerber.

Who's Kaia Gerber?

Gerber is one of those "nepo babies," being the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber. In other words, Gerber herself does not have a whole lot to her name.

The 23-year-old, however, has attempted to voice criticism of Ivanka's father, Donald Trump, as recently as 2024, back when Trump was facing off against then-Vice President Kamala Harris.

At the time, Gerber released a message, saying:

In the words of Michelle Obama, "If we don’t get this election right, your wife, your daughter, your mother, we as women will become collateral damage to your rage. So are you, as men, prepared to look into the eyes of the women you love and tell them you supported this assault? Right answers only. VOTE!!!!!!!

The Daily Mail reports that, alongside this message, Gerber included "a snap of her posing with her mail-in ballot that showed she had indeed voted for Kamala, as well as a collage of images of the former Vice President at a rally."

The election, of course, did not turn on Gerber's way, but apparently that is not enough to stop her from partying with Trump's daughter. And, on the flip side, Gerber's criticism is not enough to stop Ivanka Trump from partying with Gerber.

The details

As stated, Ivanka, Geber, Kushner, and others all attended a birthday event for Kushner's brother at Katz's Deli on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Page Six reports:

The first daughter, 43, rocked a low-cut black skater dress, which put her tan and toned legs on display, and matching strappy heels. She styled her blond hair in loose waves that framed her perfectly made-up face. Jared, 44, opted for a more toned-down look, donning a navy blue sweater, black slacks and matching dress shoes. Kloss wasn’t the only model in attendance, as Cindy Crawford and her daughter, Kaia Gerber, were there, too, along with patriarch Rande Gerber.

As you can see, these outlets captured the guests' appearances.

We don't know exactly what is meant by the fact that Ivanka and Gerber "rubbed shoulders."

The Daily Mail suggested that the two "put their past differences aside" merely from the fact that they were in the same room.
