Ivanka Trump speaks out after shooting: 'I love you Dad, today and always'
Former President Donald Trump was grazed by a bullet this weekend following an assassination attempt that left one of his supporters dead.
Ivanka Trump reacted to the heartbreaking tragedy by expressing love for her father and gratitude who protected him.
"I love you Dad, today and always"
"Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today's senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania," she wrote.

"I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today," she continued before adding, "I continue to pray for our country. I love you Dad, today and always."
The Daily Mail noted that Trump's younger daughter Tiffany Trump spoke up in a post of her own, writing, "The outpouring of love and support for my Dad is deeply appreciated. Thank you God for keeping my father alive."
"Political violence is never the answer. God bless the Secret Service and law enforcement who fearlessly intervened. Please include the families of the victims in your prayers," Tiffany Trump stressed

Ms. Trump concluded by saying, "As you saw today, my father is a fighter and he will continue to fight for you and the USA."
Meanwhile, the former president put out a statement on Truth Social hours after the assassination attempt that read, "I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania."
"Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured," he asserted.
The former president further lamented "that such an act can take place in our Country" before declaring, "GOD BLESS AMERICA!"
Shooter took aim from a nearby manufacturing plant
According to the New York Post, the shooter has been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who fired at Trump from the roof of a manufacturing facility located roughly 130 yards away.
Prem Thakker is a contributor for The Intercept, and he reported that Cook was a resident of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania and a registered Republican.
However, Cook also donated to the left-wing political action committee ActBlue on the same day President Joe Biden was inaugurated.
