President Trump is remaking Washington D.C. in his image, down to the smallest details.

According to Vice President J.D. Vance, Trump has brought back his famous Diet Coke button to the Oval Office, leaving no doubts about who is in command behind the Resolute Desk.

Trump liked to use the button to play pranks on visitors during his first term, and now it appears Vance is getting a taste of Trump's sense of humor.

Trump restores famous detail

In a recent interview with Sean Hannity, the vice president recalled Trump showing off the button, housed in a beautiful wooden box.

Trump pressed the button and looked over at Vance to gauge his reaction.

“He screwed with me about that,” Vance said. “So we were just mid-conversation – I think we were with [Senate Majority Leader John Thune and House Speaker Mike Johnson] – and he has this sort of beautiful, ornate wooden box on his desk with a red button, and he presses it and he just kind of looks over at me.”

Moments later, the tension was defused as a staffer came running in with Trump's favorite drink.

"Then I’m like ‘Sir? Is that the... Did something bad just happen?’ And he’s like ‘No, I just ordered a Diet Coke’. It’s a Diet Coke red button, and it comes running in," Vance said.

Trump leaves his mark

In an unprecedented change to Oval Office decor, Trump hung a picture of his grim, defiant mugshot in the hallway outside - a reminder of Trump's pride in overcoming political persecution during his journey back to power.

The Diet Coke button serves as a more lighthearted reminder of Trump's fun and highly personalized political style.

Trump famously treated college football champions to a McDonald's feast during his first term, making for an indelible image of Trump standing in front of a banquet of burgers and fries. During his triumphant re-election campaign, the president worked a shift at the iconic fast-food chain.

Trump's own Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has called Trump's diet of ultra-processed food "poison." But if Trump's preference for Diet Coke and Big Macs has done anything to affect his health, it's hard to tell.

The famously energetic 78-year-old is enacting his "MAGA" agenda at a breakneck pace, leaving critics in government and the media struggling to catch their breath.

Meanwhile, President Trump isn't finished remodeling the White House, with reports that he wants to pave over the Rose Garden with a patio like the one he has at Mar-A-Lago.
