J.D. Vance mocked by Hollywood elitist actor Haley Joel Osment

The Democrats have their Hollywood allies working overtime to do the most amount of damage to former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), as possible.

That was evidenced once again recently during a "Jimmy Kimmel Live" sketch in which actor Haley Joel Osment mocked Vance with an impression based on Vance's recent bakery visit.

The parody received both praise and criticism across social media, as the Trump haters cheered on the actor for his performance while Vance's supporters voiced their displeasure.

Kimmel assisted Osment in introducing the skit, which he said was one of Vance's new campaign ads.

What's going on?

The skit was based on a visit to a bakery by Vance and his team that didn't go quite as smoothly as he had presumably hoped.

Reports emerged after the visit that Vance admitted it wasn't the greatest experience, noting that some of the employees at the shop were nervous about the horde of people and Secret Service agents in the shop.

“We walked in, and there’s 20 Secret Service agents, and there’s 15 cameras, and she clearly had not been properly warned, and she was terrified, right? I just felt awful for her," Vance said after the visit. "I just felt terrible for that woman."

The video starts off heavily mocking Vance, as Democrats have done ever since Trump picked him as his VP running mate.

"Hi. I’m Ohio Senator JD Vance. The mainstream media? They want you to think that I’m weird. They call me ‘creepy,’ ‘cringey,’ and ‘awkward,’ and I give people something called ‘the ick.’ They want you to think that I can’t order a simple doornut — donut. S**t. But that’s ridiculous," Osment said in the video.

Social media reacts

Users across social media had plenty of thoughts on whether or not Osment did an accurate job portraying Vance's donut shop experience.

"I swear to god if no one casts this guy in something worthy of his talents, I’ll do it myself," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "I literally just realized it was him even though I've watched him do this roll several times now."

VP Harris has heavily leveraged Hollywood to gain the attention of younger voters and hopefully influence them at the ballot box. Only time will tell if that works.
