Jack Smith Facing More And More Obstacles In Futile Effort Against Trump

When it comes to former President Donald Trump, Special Counsel Jack Smith should just GIVE UP.

Smith simply cannot get a win in his case against Trump.

The latest news is no different!

Trump may very well be VINDICATED.

Lately, an argument from America's former Attorney General Edwin Meese raised concerns about Smith having been chosen for Special Counsel under illegal circumstances.

In his latest brief, a response to Meese’s argument, Smith shot himself in the foot – big time.

Smith defended himself by stating that the Special Counsel does not have the final say when it comes to Trump.

He went on to call his position an “inferior officer” and defined the term by saying “an inferior officer is one who reports to and is supervised by a superior officer.”

“The Special Counsel is an 'inferior Officer' under the Special Counsel regulation because the Attorney General supervises the Special Counsel's work, may remove him from office, and may review and countermand his decisions,” Smith said in his brief.

Smith did not stop there.

“And, as an additional means of exercising control, the Attorney General can rescind the regulation at any time, or amend the appointment order, and exercise direct statutory supervision over the Special Counsel. The Special Counsel is subject to the Attorney General's supervision and oversight. The Special Counsel's work is overseen by the Attorney General, who appointed him and delegated to him powers that are otherwise vested in the Attorney General alone,” Smith continued.

So, essentially, in Smith’s latest argument, he admitted that his efforts do not actually have the power to stop Trump.

If Trump did win the upcoming election and regained control of the White House, there are multiple options he has to dismiss or drop any charges his is facing.

The former president could simply pardon himself OR he could appoint an Attorney General that will forgive the federal charges.

Smith has openly admitted he understands that is the way this power dynamic works.

So, if Trump does win the election, the likelihood of Trump actually being held to any charges that have been brought against him are extremely low.

At this point, you have to wonder why Smith does not just throw in the towel while he still can!

Why do you think Smith is continuing to go after Trump despite admitting he understands there are many ways the charges could potentially be pardoned?
