Jamie Foxx breaks silence on mysterious hospitalization, says he suffered from stroke due to brain bleed
Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx seemingly dropped off the face of the earth in early 2023 and it was later revealed that he had been hospitalized with a "mysterious" condition.
According to the Daily Mail, it was revealed this week that Foxx had suffered a stroke due to a bleed on his brain, landing him in the hospital and ultimately unable to walk.
His family decided to keep his hospitalization secretive at the time it happened due to privacy concerns.
Foxx finally broke his silence during a recent episode of the Netflix show "What Had Happened Was..."
What did he say?
Fox opened up about the day he realized something had gone wrong in his body, recalling that he had asked a friend for some aspirin to treat a headache.
"On April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for Aspirin," Foxx said, adding, "I realized quickly that when you're in a medical emergency, your boys don't know what the f--- to do."
Foxx reportedly broke down in tears as he told the audience that he was "back," though he admitted that he is still not entirely sure what happened to him at the time.
The "Django Unchained" actor also revealed that he had lost 20 days of memory as a result of the stroke.
"Your life doesn't flash before you. It was kind of oddly peaceful. I saw the tunnel, but I didn't see the light. It was hot in that tunnel," Foxx said before crediting his sister with saving his life by taking him to the hospital for a life-saving procedure.
