Jamie Foxx shares ‘pure joy’ after admitting to health scare story during stage show
During a one-man show in Atlanta, Jamie Foxx disclosed his mysterious health crisis.
Jamie Foxx, 56, performed for the first time since his health crisis at "One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx," as People reported.
Sharing snaps from his show in Atlanta via Instagram, Foxx wrote, “God is good…. As I post these pictures, my heart and my soul is filled with nothing but pure joy…on October 3 fourth and fifth I had an opportunity to tell my side of the story and there was no better place than Atlanta Georgia.”
More from the Actor
“I have to thank you Atlanta you showed up and you showed out, I haven’t been on stage in 18 years but I needed the stage and I needed an audience that was made up of nothing but pure love and that’s what you were,” Fox continued, explaining the events.
The Django Unchained star went on to say, “When people ask me is this a stand up comedy show I say 'No it’s an artistic explanation.' "
Foxx remarked that despite a difficult situation, the good people of Atlanta, especially Piedmont Hospital, helped him return to my passion of performing on stage. “#nobaddays as my guy James would say #secondchance ❤️❤️❤️🍑🍑🍑 thank you ATLANTA #swipeleft.”
The Health Scare
Foxx representatives did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment; however, the history of his health crisis is not entirely unknown.
In July, the Oscar-winning actor faced fans outside a Phoenix eatery, answering questions about his "medical complication."
"Look, April 11 last year, bad headache, asked my boy for an Advil," Foxx said before snapping his fingers. "I was gone for 20 days."
"I don't remember anything," Jamie said to the fans at the restaurant. "So they told me — I'm in Atlanta — they told me, my sister and my daughter, they took me to the first doctor and they said… ‘Nah,’ gave me a cortisone shot.
The Prognosis
"The next doctor said, ‘Something’s going on up there.' I won't say it on camera. I won't say it on camera. But it was…" Foxx said as he nodded his head in deep thought.
According to Corinne Foxx, her father was recuperating from a medical issue on April 12, 2023.
"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery," she wrote on social media at the time. "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."
