"Jarvanka" returns?

Jared Kushner has weighed in on the crisis in Israel with glowing praise for his father-in-law President Trump, leading to speculation that Jared and his wife Ivanka Trump want to get back into politics.

Kushner told the Lex Fridman Podcast that President Trump made the world safer - and he hopes he wins in 2024.

“My hope and prayers are that President Trump is reelected and that he’s able to then restore calm and peace and prosperity to the world,” he said.

Jarvanka returns?

After her dad announced his 2024 campaign in November, Ivanka - who served as an adviser to her father along with Kushner - said she was focused on her family.

But her husband's comments have many guessing that the couple is putting one foot back in the political world - as President Trump dominates the Republican primary and ties with Joe Biden in the polls.

Kushner told podcaster Lex Fridman that people are beginning to appreciate how good they had it when Trump was in office, before Biden's "weak" leadership unleashed chaos all over the world.

"I do think that the job [Trump] did as a foreign policy president was tremendous. Now, more and more people are beginning to recognize that.

"Under President Biden, this is the second war that’s broken out in the world, and when you have weak leadership, the world becomes a less safe place.”

Ivanka plugged the podcast over Twitter.

"Enormous potential"

During their tenure, "Jarvanka" were criticized by some as a moderating liberal influence on Trump. Ivanka famously condemned her father's handling of immigration during an uptick of border crossings in 2018.

Over the past few years, Ivanka has shown little interest in politics, mostly posting pictures of her travels with her family on Instagram.

Her husband played an important role in architecting the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and Arab countries in the region.

Kushner told Fridman that the Middle East has "tremendous potential, it's just been held back by bad policy, bad leadership, bad objectives."

"When President Trump left office in 2021, the Middle East was really on a very positive trajectory, and if the right things happen, it can continue to be so."
