JD Vance rips into George Soros for funding hateful leftist groups in wake of Charlie Kirk killing
Vice President JD Vance set his sights on billionaire George Soros and his Open Society Foundation for funding violent leftist movements in the wake of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Vance accused Soros and other shadowy leftist figures of fueling left-wing hate against conservatives and contributing to the killing of Kirk by inciting violence that mentally ill individuals would act on.
Vance cited the widespread lies that had been spread about Kirk's views, which Vance believes led to 22-year-old Tyler Robinson using a hunting rifle to kill Kirk in front of his family and hundreds of college students last week at Utah Valley University.
Vance specifically cited an article from left-wing news site The Nation, which lied about Kirk's views on complex racial issues.
The Trump administration is actively investigating the shadowy organizations funding violent leftist movements and George Soros is at the top of the list to be held accountable for spreading violent and hateful rhetoric that led to Kirk's assassination.
Raising the temperature
Leftist activists and even Democrat politicians have accused conservative activists like Charlie Kirk of being "White Supremacists," "Nazi's," and even "Misogynists" in an effort to stir up violence against them and silence their ideas.
The Nation's article highlighted by Vance called Kirk an "unrepentant racist, transphobe, homophobe, and misogynist" and that his assassination was justified.
That article was directly funded by Soros's Open Society Foundation and the Ford Foundation in order to justify political violence, which goes far beyond free speech and warrants an investigation.
Vance didn't mince words saying, "There is no unity with someone who lies about what Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder …there is no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination, and there is no unity with the people who fund these articles, who pay the salaries of these terrorist sympathizers."
Vance's harsh words perfectly encapsulate what many Americans have felt since Kirk's horrific killing. The open celebration of the assassination of a young father of two for his ideas is both anti-American and disgusting.
Anyone celebrating Kirk's death would celebrate the murder of over half of the country for holding a particular set of political views. Furthermore, organizations which fund these hateful ideas have no right to exist.
Organizations respond
Of course, both the Ford Foundation and the Open Society Foundation smartly denied they had anything to do with The Nation's disgusting article about Kirk's killing.
The Open Society Foundation claimed they condemned the killing of Kirk but also blasted Vance, saying, "It is disgraceful to use this tragedy for political ends to dangerously divide Americans and attack the First Amendment."
Worth noting, they didn't deny funding the article and seemed more offended that Vance called them out rather than doing everything to distance themselves from The Nation.
Nonetheless, these leftist NGO networks have overplayed their hands, and the Trump administration isn't going to let these monsters hide behind the 1st Amendment to defend their vile anti-conservative lies.
