Jen Psaki encourages Hunter Biden to go away

When she worked at the White House, Jen Psaki would tell any lie to defend Hunter Biden, but now she's admitting that the president's son actually is becoming a liability to his father.

The former White House press secretary-turned-cable news talking head discussed Hunter's recent press conference, where he defended himself and his father against corruption allegations.

Psaki advised Hunter to stay out of the public eye, for the foreseeable future.

"If you’re sitting in the White House right now, you’re like ‘Please, Hunter Biden, we know your dad loves you. Please stop talking in public,'" she said on Meet The Press.

"This is not helpful to any of them for him to be out there," she added.

Jen Psaki's advice

While the publicity Hunter receives may not be good for Joe politically, Psaki acknowledged that Joe's bond to his son may take priority.

She then turned to discussing how Biden could spin his relationship with his son as a positive.

"But, at the same time, the president loves his son," Psaki said. "That takes precedent over anything else. That is appealing."

Many of Biden's critics would not disagree with the notion that he is devoted to his family - just not in the way Psaki means.

There is mounting evidence that Biden and his relatives benefited from corrupt influence peddling, despite Biden's efforts over the years to portray himself as a decent family man.

Psaki cited a respondent in a focus group who said Biden "loves his family," but Psaki added, "the White House would like him to probably go away right now."

Daddy's love....

Hunter Biden gave a rare public statement last week in which he accused Republicans of "weaponizing" his father's "love" for him by making Hunter a focus of continuing investigations.

The president's son insisted his father had no "financial involvement" in his much scrutinized business deals.

Democrats have similarly insisted Joe Biden is innocent, painting him as simply a loving father who is concerned about his son's recovery from drug addiction.

The White House said that Biden was familiar with the substance of his son's prepared remarks, which blasted "MAGA" Republicans much as his father does on the campaign trail.

Despite the scandals, Joe has continued to keep his son close by his side in public.

Father and son were spotted together Monday as they observed the anniversary of the car crash that killed Joe's first wife, Neila, who was the mother to Hunter and his late brother Beau.
