First Lady Jill Biden is speaking out against Republicans and former President Donald Trump's indictment despite President Joe Biden remaining silent.
The first lady made her first comments on the indictment during a fundraising event in New York City Monday.

The comments
“My heart feels so broken by a lot of the headlines that we see on the news,” she said. “Like I just saw, when I was on my plane, it said 61% of Republicans are going to vote, they would vote for Trump.”
“They don’t care about the indictment. So that’s a little shocking, I think,” she added.
Jill Biden is “shocked” that some Republicans still support Trump after her husband’s Administration indicted him. Funny, I’m shocked that anybody still supports Joe Biden, and that includes his wife.https://t.co/2paLzd2u5N

The first lady's travels
"Jill is all doom and gloom about Trump. She told the Manhattan elite that 'We cannot go back to those dark days' as she referred to the Trump administration," Hot Air reported.
"She’s begun a three-day trip in New York City and will head to California tonight. There are events scheduled in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Most of her time will be spent raising money at four political events, two in the Bay Area that will benefit Biden’s campaign, the DNC, and the Democrat state party committees," it added.

”We know what’s in store with the MAGA Republicans. We just know it, right? We know because we’ve lived it. We’ve seen it,” Jill Biden also said in her recent remarks, according to the Associated Press.
“We know what it’s like to see U.S. policy tweeted out in late-night tweet-storms," she added.
The speech appears to focus on her strategy for her husband in 2024. Instead of focusing on her husband's record, she instead attacks Trump as someone who can't be let back in the White House over his indictments.
The approach may be the best the first lady has, as the president's record so far has been one marked with crises, inflation surges and record gas prices.
If the event is what to expect for the rest of the campaign, you can bet on more attacks over Trump's indictment that came from Biden's own Justice Department.
