Joe Biden's sister-in-law arrested in Maryland for driving nearly double the posted limit
As his term in office drew to a close, former President Joe Biden caused controversy by giving Hunter Biden a blanket pardon for all federal crimes.
Yet Hunter Biden is far from being the only Biden member with legal problems, as the president's sister-in-law was arrested earlier this year.

Mrs. Biden, who is married to former President Biden's brother Jim Biden, was driving down a rural stretch of Route 33 in Maryland across the Eastern Bay from Washington, D.C.
The 65-year-old was behind the wheel of her 2023 Jeep Rubicon during the offense and subsequently pleaded guilty to a lesser offense of speeding at 60 mph. The court ordered her to undertake a "driver improvement program."
Republicans called for prosecution of Jim Biden
Jim Biden has had his own legal controversies, such as being accused of lying under oath by House Oversight Committee James Comer.
"On December 1, 2024, President Joseph R. Biden Jr. issued a written statement announcing ‘A Full and Unconditional Pardon’ for his son, Robert Hunter Biden," Comer wrote in a letter on January 17 to soon-to-be confirmed Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Comer said Jim Biden had "misled Congress regarding Joe Biden’s participation in his family’s influence peddling" and was "deserving of prosecution under federal law."
"Though President Biden’s saccharine (and wholly ironic) rantings of political persecution and weaponized prosecution of Hunter Biden are specious, they are inapplicable to the non-prosecution of his brother," Comer added.
However, former President Biden managed to preempt any efforts to prosecute Jim Biden by issuing a pardon to his brother on his last day in office.
Other brother accused of stealing DVDs from a Blockbuster
Meanwhile, the New York Post recalled how the former president's other brother, Francis 'Frank' Biden, was arrested in October of 2003 for allegedly stuffing DVDs down his pants at a Blockbuster in Florida.
The incident came not long after Frank Biden was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and sentenced to six months of probation.
He would be arrested once again the following year for driving with a suspended license and went to rehab for three months in lieu of going to jail.
