John Fetterman slams 'pathetic' protest outside Jewish restaurant
Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman (D) is finished making excuses for anti-Semites on the left after activists staged a "pathetic" protest outside of a Jewish restaurant.
The ugly scene outside Goldie Falafel in Philadelphia was widely condemned by Democratic leaders, further exposing a divide between the party and its left-wing base.
The protesters chanted, "Goldie, Goldie you can't hide, we charge you with genocide."
Fetterman SLAMS liberals...
In a Twitter post, Fetterman called out the "pathetic and rank anti-Semitism" of the protesters.
"They could be protesting Hamas' systematic rape of Israeli women and girls or demanding the remaining hostages be immediately released," Fetterman wrote. "Instead, they targeted a Jewish restaurant."
"It's pathetic and rank antisemitism," he added.
Fetterman, of course, was referring to the brutal October 7 attack by Hamas, in which the group's militants raped, killed, and kidnapped Israelis on a mass scale.

The war has exposed a divide between Hamas apologists on the left and more traditional pro-Israel Democrats, who remain more influential in Congress despite a vocal minority of progressives sympathetic to Palestine.
Despite his affiliation with the far-left, Fetterman has been a vocal supporter of Israel in its war with Hamas, to the surprise of many.
The White House also condemned the protest, calling it "unjustifiable."
"It is Antisemitic and completely unjustifiable to target restaurants that serve Israeli food over disagreements with Israeli policy," White House spokesman Andrew Bates said Monday.
Liberals divided
Pennsylvania's Democratic governor Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish, also chimed in.
"A restaurant was targeted and mobbed because its owner is Jewish and Israeli," the Pennsylvania governor continued. "This hate and bigotry is reminiscent of a dark time in history."
Rep. Adam Schiff (Ca.), who is Jewish, also condemned the demonstration as an expression of unfiltered Jew hate.
Targeting a small business solely because it's Jewish-owned is antisemitism, pure and simple. It must be unequivocally condemned. And it must stop. https://t.co/rofXE7MpjR

While Democrats in Washington mostly support Israel still, there is clearly a gap between those in power and the anti-white, anti-Israel progressives marching in the streets.
It will be interesting to see how these fractures impact Joe Biden in 2024.
