John Fetterman warns that extreme rhetoric 'will foment more extreme outcomes'
Last week saw Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem condemn the demonization of federal law enforcement following a deadly shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas.
In a move which will likely leave others in his party seething, Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman recently echoed Noem's words. What's more, he cited a study showing that leftist violence is on the rise.
Fetterman that says extreme rhetoric "will foment more extreme outcomes"
According to Breitbart, Fetterman's statement came in the form of a social media statement which the lawmaker put up on Sunday.
Unchecked extreme rhetoric, like labels as Hitler or fascist, will foment more extreme outcomes.
Political violence is always wrong—no exceptions.

"Unchecked extreme rhetoric, like labels as Hitler or fascist, will foment more extreme outcomes," Fetterman wrote before adding, "Political violence is always wrong—no exceptions. We must all turn the temperature down."
In his post, Fetterman included a screenshot of an Axios article which detailed a study carried out by the Center for Strategic & International Studies.
The study identified five ideologically motivated attacks or plots that were perpetrated by left-wing actors so far this year compared with just one from figures on the right.
Democratic congresswoman: "When I see ICE, I see slave patrols"
Fetterman's request for verbal restraint stands in sharp contrast with the position taken by Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Jasmine Crockett and California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Breitbart reported earlier this month that Crockett likened efforts to enforce immigration law with pro-slavery activity during the 19th century.
"As somebody who understands history, when I see ICE, I see slave patrols," the congressman said during an interview with MSNBC.
"Now, I never lived through the slave patrol period. But if you know the history of policing in this country, then you understand that they were born out of slave patrols," she declared.
Newsom accuses ICE of "disappearing" people
For his part, the California governor told late-night comedian Stephen Colbert that ICE agents are "disappearing" people in service of an authoritarian regime.
"What is a moral and virtuous person supposed to do about masked men who jump out of cars and disappear people, if not kill them?" the writer inquired.
