Judge rules in favor of Trump regarding sharing of illegal migrants' IRS tax data with ICE

President Donald Trump's efforts to combat illegal immigration have routinely been stifled by seemingly activist-level federal judges who believe they can wield extreme power over the executive branch.

While Trump has battled several instances of this, his administration notched a massive win this week after a federal judge refused to to issue a preliminary injunction that would have prevented the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from sharing illegal migrant data with federal authorities.

Pro-immigration groups argued that illegal migrants' tax data should be afforded the same privacy rights as Americans, but U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich isn't sold on the idea.

The ruling clears the way for the IRS to share the requested data with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to verify illegal migrant information.

What's going on?

ICE argued that it would only use IRS data about illegal migrants to work "major criminal cases.

Several nonprofit groups argued that the illegal immigrants who pay taxes should have the same privacy rights as Americans, but it wasn't enough to convince Judge Friedrich.

Newsweek noted the stipulations of her ruling:

The deal permits ICE to submit names and addresses of suspected undocumented immigrants to the IRS, which then cross-checks the data against tax filings. Tax information is typically considered confidential and punishable by criminal penalties if improperly shared.

The Trump administration received support from the U.S. Treasury Department, noting that it helps further Trump's immigration policies.

The issue has been in the court system since it was suggested, and now the path to make it happen has finally cleared a bit, thanks to the judge's ruling.

Clearly, the American people are sick and tired of federal judges ruling against Trump likely just for the sake of ruling against Trump, without regard for the U.S. Constitution or existing laws.
