District Judge Ana Reyes tore into President Joe Biden's Department of Justice for openly ignoring subpoenas from the House concerning First Son Hunter Biden.

Reyes, who was appointed by Biden, called out the hypocrisy of the DOJ allowing attorneys involved in the Biden family investigation to defy subpoenas from the House Judiciary Committee as it investigates the Biden family.

The DOJ has also ignored subpoenas from the House committing conducting the impeachment inquiry into President Biden.

For the past few months, Biden's DOJ has openly mocked the subpoenas from the House with Hunter Biden even going as far as to refuse a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee for a closed-door deposition.

Judge Reyes is putting an end to this blatant defiance and reminding the Biden administration that a former advisor to former President Donald Trump is serving a prison sentence for defying a subpoena from the House.

Prison sentences on the table

During a hearing on the Judiciary Committee’s lawsuit, Judge Reyes blasted the DOJ saying, "There’s a person in jail right now because you all brought a criminal lawsuit against him because he did not appear for a House subpoena."

That statement was made in reference to former Trump adviser Peter Navarro who was charged and convicted with contempt of Congress.

Navarro received a Congressional subpoena demanding his testimony and documents relating to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Navarro argued that because Trump had invoked executive privilege which prevented him from testifying. That argument was rejected by multiple courts and he is now serving out a four-month prison sentence.

Former White House adviser Steve Bannon also faces a four-month prison sentence on the same charges but has remained free as he appeals the conviction.

Multiple figures close to Trump have gone to prison for defying Congressional subpoenas so the DOJ and Hunter Biden are playing a very dangerous game. Of course, the rules are different for the DOJ and Biden as they belong to the correct political class.

Two-tier system

Trump's allies are forced to sit in prison while Hunter Biden and the DOJ face no consequences for their actions. This is further proof that the justice system has been subverted and weaponized against Trump and conservatives.

Judge Reyes continued saying, "I think it’s quite rich you guys pursue criminal investigations and put people in jail for not showing up but then direct current executive branch employees to take the same approach. You all are making a bunch of arguments that you would never accept from any other litigant."

Clearly, she didn't get the memo that the past decade has revealed countless examples of political bias in the justice system. Democrats get to play by different rules and that is why they have been so successful.
