Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan made headlines last week when she was arrested for allegedly shielding a criminal illegal migrant.

In a development which is sure to please President Donald Trump, Dugan has since been suspended from the bench.

Dugan "temporarily prohibited from exercising the powers of a circuit court judge"

According to Breitbart, Dugan's suspension was announced in a two-page order which the Wisconsin Supreme Court put out on Tuesday.

"It is ordered … that Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah C. Dugan is temporarily prohibited from exercising the powers of a circuit court judge in the state of Wisconsin, effective the date of this order and until further order of the court," the state Supreme Court's order read.

Wisconsin's highest judicial body stressed that the decision was made on its own initiative and not in response to any outside request.

Judge said to have helped illegal migrant and his lawyer escape agents

Fox News reported that Dugan's legal problems began last Friday after agents from ICE, FBI, CBP and DEA attempted to arrest Eduardo Flores-Ruiz at her courthouse.

Flores-Ruiz, who is a previously deported illegal migrant from Mexico, was scheduled to appear before Dugan on April 18 to face three misdemeanor battery charges.

However, Dugan is said to have told the agents to proceed to the chief judge’s office before helping Flores-Ruiz and his attorney escape the building through a restricted jury door.

The state judge has been charged with obstruction of an official proceeding as well as concealing an individual to prevent discovery and arrest.

Attorney General Pam Bondi: "No one's above the laws in this country"

Dugan's alleged actions were condemned by Attorney General Pam Bondi during an appearance on Fox News' "America Reports," who said, "No one's above the laws in this country."

"And if you are destroying evidence, if you're obstructing justice, when you have victims sitting in a courtroom of domestic violence and you're escorting a criminal defendant out a back door, it will not be tolerated, and it is a crime in the United States of America," Bondi declared.

"I think some of these judges think they are beyond and above the law and they are not, and we're sending a very strong message today," she continued.

The U.S. attorney general then went on to caution that it "[d]oesn't matter who you are, you're going to be prosecuted."
