Despite being 80 years old, President Joe Biden has spoken confidently of his intention to seek another term in 2024.
However, a new poll suggests that if he doesn't run, then Vice President Kamala Harris is poised to take his place on the ticket.
According to Breitbart, a survey conducted last month by Zogby found that Harris is supported by 32% of Democratic primary voters.
Her next closest competitor was Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders with 13% while Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and California Gov. Gavin Newsom were each favored by 10%. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams were all in single digits.

That information comes following a Politico survey which found that well over half of Americans think Biden should only serve a single term.
When asked whether they believe that the president should seek reelection two years from now, some 65% said he should not, with 46% indicating that Biden should "definitely" not run again.
Meanwhile, only a quarter said he should seek an additional term in office. By contrast, 34% of respondents felt that former President Donald Trump should run for his old job.
The survey also found that more people disapproved than approved of Biden's performance when it came to jobs, immigration, climate change, energy, and national security.
Nevertheless, Biden was quick to shrug off his bad polling numbers during a press conference following last month's midterm elections.
Reporter: "Two-thirds of Americans say that they don't think you should run for reelection. How does that factor into your decision ?"
Joe Biden: "It doesn't."
Reporter: "What's your message to them?"

Many have expressed doubts that Biden is mentally fit to serve as president. During a recent "Saturday Night Live" during which cast member Michael Che joked that he might be suffering from a form of brain damage known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
"President Biden signed a measure that would force railway workers to accept a deal that averts a strike but does not include paid sick leave," the host said before adding, "Che then added, "But how do you expect Biden to care about sick leave when he shows up to work every day with full-blown CTE?"
