Kamala Harris mentee is longtime friend of CCP executive

We knew that Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris had sympathies toward the Chinese Communist Party, but a new report has exposed some deep connections with the CCP among her tribe.

Lateefah Simon, a candidate for Rep. Barbara Lee's (D-CA) House seat and longtime friend and mentee of Harris, was part of an exchange on X that showcased her relationship with China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) James Chau.

In 2022, a year before Chau become CUSEF president but years after he began working actively with the foundation, he wrote on X, then known as Twitter, "Belated best wishes to my friend and sister [Lateefah Simon] as she builds on her years is (sic) service [Akonadi Foundation] to lead Meadow Fund."

"These are complex times — yet also times in which skill and compassion count even more," he continued. "Looking forward to seeing the deep impact of your work."

"I love you"

In response, Simon wrote, "I love you James. Hong Kong this summer!"

Chau wrote back, "You have the freehold on my heart."

The exchange shows the depth of the pair's relationship.

You're not going to tell someone you don't know real well "I love you." You're not going to meet up with them in foreign countries or tell them they have your heart, either.

"No basis in facts or reality"

Simon's spokesperson denied that the relationship was any kind of story.

"The premise of this story is absurd and has no basis in facts or reality," Elizabeth Power said  on Simon's behalf.

It makes sense that a Harris mentee would be connected to the CCP.

President Joe Biden also had many connections to the CCP, so it's all one big happy family now I guess.

While this connection doesn't necessarily prove that Harris has any shady connections to the CCP, it does show that the influence is in her orbit.

We don't need another president who is going to be soft on China and way too friendly with the CCP. Yet another reason Harris should not be president.
