Kamala Harris says Joe Biden's decision to seek another term was 'recklessness'
Shortly after ending his reelection campaign, then-President Joe Biden was quick to throw his weight behind then-Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party nominee.
Yet in a move which some will regard as an act of betrayal, Harris recently suggested that Biden shouldn't have sought a second term.
Harris calls Biden's choice an example of "recklessness"
As USA Today reported, Harris made the allegation in her new memoir titled "107 Days," which is set to be released later this month.
"Was it grace, or was it recklessness? In retrospect, I think it was recklessness," the former vice president wrote of Biden's decision to campaign despite suffering from obvious cognitive decline.

"The stakes were simply too high," Harris insisted. "This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision."
"'It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.' We all said that, like a mantra, as if we’d all been hypnotized,"' the former Democratic nominee went on to lament.
Harris says the former president's "age showed in physical and verbal stumbles"
Regarding the former president's capabilities, Harris stated, "On his worst day, he was more deeply knowledgeable, more capable of exercising judgment, and far more compassionate than Donald Trump on his best."
"But at 81, Joe got tired," the former vice president acknowledged before adding that this was "when his age showed in physical and verbal stumbles."
Harris' perspective stands in sharp contrast with that offered by the former president's son, Hunter Biden, who has argued that his father made a mistake by ending his campaign.
According to the Washington Post, the younger Biden made that assertion while speaking with former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman Jaime Harrison in July.
Hunter Biden: Democrats "lost the election because we did not remain loyal"
"You know what, we are going to fight amongst ourselves for the next three years until there’s a nominee. And then with the nominee, we better as hell get behind that nominee," Biden was quoted as saying.
"And I will tell you why we lost the last election. We lost the election because we did not remain loyal to the leader of the party. That's my position," he continued.
"We had the advantage of incumbency. We had the advantage of an incredibly successful administration, and the Democratic Party literally melted down," the former president's son alleged.
