Kamala's stepdaughter insists she's not having a breakdown
Kamala Harris's loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election was a real jaw-dropper for some, but of course, it was the ones closest to the current vice president who felt it the most.
Harris' step-daugh, Ella Emhoff, took to social media to share her disappointment, sparking rumors that she might have had a little meltdown and is now seeking some sort of treatment, as the New York Post reported.
The outspoken activist just wanted to let everyone know she's doing just fine, while also reminding us that expressing emotions during tough times is perfectly acceptable.
Photographic Evidence
Just in case you missed it, Emhoff was photographed crying at Howard University when Harris presented her concession, and she even shared a selfie of herself in tears on Instagram Story.
"Truly no words. We are all going to get through this. It just f****** hurts like a b**** right now and that's OK," Emhoff captioned it (via X, formerly known as Twitter).

The Rumor Mill
Rumors began to circulate that she had been hospitalized due to Harris' stepdaughter's inability to manage the election results.
However, Emhoff promptly returned to social media to refute what she called MAGA conspiracy theorists and rectify her public image.
"There's a rumor about me having a mental breakdown and getting checked into a hospital. Not true. Also, f*** you if you're out there spreading that. There's nothing wrong with showing emotion and crying," she posted on her Instagram Stories.
More From the Second Daughter
After Trump's victory over , Ella admitted in a post on November 8 to going through "10 cycles of sadness, rage, and stress" on her Substack account, Soft Crafts by Ella Emhoff.
Instead of avoiding or numbing herself to those unpleasant feelings, the writer urged her readers to feel them all and assured them that they could always contact her for help.
"I just want you all to know that I'm here for you," Ella noted, making yet another in a series of bids to reach out to the voter base that supports her stepmother and dad, who is the nation's first "Second Gentleman."
"This space has already felt so calming and special to me, and now, more than ever, I'm going to make it a space where we can all just relax and take our minds off things."
Harris' stepdaughter was outspoken about her battle with mental illness during the campaign and has been supportive of her fans even after the loss.
