Kate Middleton has changed significantly since cancer diagnosis: report
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has undergone a significant change since being diagnosed with cancer.
This is according to a new report from The Mirror.
This all comes after Middleton, earlier this year, revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment, including abdominal surgery and chemotherapy.
Specifics about the situation are hard to come by, as the Royal Family has kept those details under wraps. But, there have been some Royal Palace leaks that have provided more information about Middleton's situation.
She's not the same
According to The Mirror's report, Middleton has changed significantly since her cancer diagnosis.
The outlet reports:
While Kate has now started her return to work, a source suggested she might not be taking on as much responsibility in the new year. "Life-threatening illnesses bring a reconsideration of priorities," they explained. The source said Kate and her husband Prince William are now focusing on their family and putting themselves ahead of their work.
The outlet goes on to quote the source as saying, "You can't go through something like that and come out the other side unchanged. She is a different person now."
This, of course, will not come as the biggest surprise to anyone who has either dealt with cancer or who has known someone who has dealt with cancer.
Middleton is not the only Royal Family member to be dealing with cancer.
King Charles update
In addition to Middleton, King Charles has also revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer. Once again, the details are sparse, as the Royal Family wants to deal with this matter privately.
An update on the king's condition was recently provided by People magazine.
Per the outlet:
King Charles’ cancer treatment will continue into the New Year, but it is moving “in a very positive direction,” palace sources have confirmed. Aides have signaled that Charles, 76, who has been under medical care for his cancer diagnosis since early February, will continue treatment towards his one-year anniversary as a "managed condition."
It is anyone's guess as to what exactly the Royal Palace means by a "managed condition." For example, does it mean that the doctors managed to get the cancer under control, or does it mean that the doctors are doing their best to help the king deal with the cancer? Perhaps, both.
The Royal Palace has said, though, that "His treatment has been moving in a positive direction."
