Lara Trump hosts news show after being welcomed back to Fox News
Lara Trump left her position at Fox News last year in order to serve as co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) alongside former North Carolina Republican Party leader Michael Whatley.
However, this week saw Trump return to her on-air family, all of whom are said to have greeted her with two kind words.
Fox News staff to Trump: "Welcome home"
According to The Sun, Trump expressed feelings of happiness during a recent interview about once again working at the news network.
"Everyone, everywhere I went basically all said the same thing to me. They said, 'Welcome home.' To receive such a generous and warm welcome back felt amazing," she remarked.
Trump is hosting a new program called "Saturday night program called My View with Lara Trump," which aired its first episode on February 22.
It featured interviews with Attorney General Pam Bondi, United States Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Show will offer an "inside look" at the White House
"The different nature of this show, I think, compared to anything else on Fox, is that it's a little longer format and it's a little more personal," Trump explained.
"I think what I'm most excited about now is kind of charting a new path for myself with this show and bringing something different to Fox," she continued.
She stressed that the program will seek to deliver "more transparency, not less" regarding the figures and agencies within her father-in-law's administration.
"What I want to do with this show is really expose people to the inside of who these people are, their personalities," Trump declared. This will include examining "how they got where they are today" along with "inside look" at the roles they play at the White House.
"It's more about giving people a side of things that I don't think you get in this kind of fast-paced, 24-seven news cycle that we're in," she stressed.
Trump considered filling Marco Rubio's Senate seat
Trump stepped down from her position at the RNC this past December amid speculation that she might seek to fill Secretary of State Marco Rubio's Florida Senate seat.
"It is something I would seriously consider," Trump was quoted as telling the Associated Press. "If I’m being completely transparent, I don’t know exactly what that would look like."
"And I certainly want to get all of the information possible if that is something that’s real for me. But yeah, I would 100% consider it," she went on to add.
