Lara Trump reveals how the president feels about her new career
Lara Trump recently revealed how President Donald Trump feels about her new career.
She did so, according to the Daily Mail, during an interview with USA Today.
Lara Trump is married to Eric Trump, making her President Trump's daughter-in-law. She has played a massive role in the Republican Party, helping the president to get elected in 2024 by running the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Now, however, Lara Trump is working for the Fox News Channel. She has her own show, and it would appear that she is doing very well.
Background
In case you missed, it was reported earlier this year that Fox was moving some shows around to make room for Lara Trump.
The Daily Mail, at the time, reported:
Fox News is bumping network stalwart Brian Kilmeade’s show from its Saturday slot in favor of giving President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, her own show in the slot, the network announced Wednesday. Trump will host “My View With Lara Trump” on Saturdays at 9 pm, according to Fox. The slot had previously belonged to Kilmeade’s “One Nation” program, which will now air Sunday nights at 10 pm, the network announced.
The show premiered on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, and it was a massive success.
The Daily Mail separately reported:
Lara Trump's explosive new Fox News show broke records after its debut episode had millions of Americans tuning in on Saturday night . . .The premiere of the show in the 9:00 p.m. ET time slot saw 2.422 million people tuning in, of which 290,000 were between the ages of 25 and 54. The stats represent the highest-rated Saturday 9:00 p.m.-hour ratings since the breaking news coverage of the attempted assassination attempt against her father-in-law President Donald Trump in July 2024.
She also blew CNN and MSNBC out of the water.
"I've proven him wrong"
While speaking to USA Today, Lara Trump revealed how she has apparently proved her father-in-law wrong.
She said:
Of course, he told me that the only way that I was going to get a huge audience is if I had him on and so I think that - I don't want to say I've proven him wrong. When he comes on, I guess the audience will be even bigger.
This, of course, was all done in fun. Lara Trump went on to reveal that, after her big debut success, President Trump was one of the first people to call her to congratulate her.
She revealed:
He’s called me twice since the show to tell me what an amazing job he thought I did, how much he enjoyed the show and unfortunately, both times, I missed his call.
It turns out that she was on a plane during both calls. The big question going forward is when President Trump will appear on Lara Trump's show and what kind of ratings it will get.
