One of Fox News Channel's highest-rated hosts apparently made an embarrassing gaffe on-air this week that was immediately called out by critics.

According to the Daily Mail, prime-time host Laura Ingraham reportedly mistook Fulton County DA Fani Willis for New York AG Letitia James, and instead of correcting the error, attempted to downplay it.

Ingraham made the error while discussing the various legal cases against Trump in the wake of Jack Smith requesting the dismissal of the two federal cases he pursued against the now-president-elect.

Ingraham referred to the two figures as women who "hate Trump" as she subtly corrected her error later in the broadcast.

What happened?

While discussing Trump's legal cases, Ingraham showed a picture of Willis on the screen and referred to her as James.

"History’s gonna remember Jack Smith and Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis, and the judges who let these cases get as far as they did, as modern day Keystone Cops, who chased Trump around, hounding him, trying to keep him off the campaign trail because they hated his agenda," Ingraham said, referring to the image of Willis as James.

Shortly after, she made the corrections for her viewers.

"Earlier in the Angle, we accidentally showed a graphic that had a photo of another vicious anti-Trump figure, Letitia James, when we were talking about Fani Willis," Ingraham said.

She added, "So that was our mistake, but they both hate Trump."

Trump Derangement Syndrome-stricken liberals on social media were quick to blast Ingraham for the mixup, with many unsurprisingly calling her "racist" because the two women happened to be Black.

Social media meltdown

The comments from social media users were asinine and unfounded, but that didn't stop them from immediately playing the "you're racist!" card in their posts.

"Laura Ingraham keeps misidentifying photos of Black people because she thinks they all look the same," one X user wrote.

Liberal activist and washed-up actor George Takei wrote, "Bigotry on full display."
