Lawyer who lent millions of dollars to Hunter Biden admits he is "tapped out"

Hunter Biden made headlines earlier this month after a federal appeals court refused to strike down the gun charges he is facing.

The president's son recently got more bad news when the man who has been paying Biden's bill announced that he is tapped out.

Lawyer has lent Hunter Biden over $4.9 million since 2019

Breitbart noted that entertainment lawyer Kevin Morris was a donor to President Joe Biden's 2020 campaign. He also helped the younger Biden pursue his controversial art career.

What's more, Breitbart noted that Morris told the House impeachment inquiry in January that he has lent the president's son more than $4.9 million to cover housing, car payments, and legal fees since 2019.

"My only goal was and is to help my friend and client. In this country, there is no prohibition against helping a friend in need with no ulterior motive," Morris was quoted as saying.

However, an individual said to be close with Morris told Politico this week that the lawyer is now facing financial difficulties of his own.

Source says Morris "is completely tapped out" from helping Biden

"The reason Kevin got involved financially in the first place was that he could see that no one was going to help Hunter," the source explained.

"Now, four and a half years later, there's still no help — and now Kevin is completely tapped out. So just when Hunter is facing two criminal trials starting in a few weeks, he has no resources. It's pretty dire," the friend continued.

The unnamed figure told Politico that the loss of Morris' patronage creates "a huge problem" for Hunter Biden as it may limit his ability to hire expert witnesses for his upcoming gun trial.

Breitbart noted that Morris later confirmed to Politico that the individual's account of events was accurate but refused to elaborate.

CNN: Biden had amassed more than $10 million in legal fees by last fall

Meanwhile, legal experts told Breitbart two years ago that Biden could expect to pay up to $100,000 a week for all of his legal expenses.

CNN also reported this past October that the president's son had at that point racked up over $10 million worth of legal expenses.

One person connected with Biden said, "Nobody will help him financially." Another remarked, "His legal bills are only going to grow as this gets closer to trial."
