Donald Trump Jr. is known for sharing controversial and edgy memes on his various social media accounts, and one of the most recent ones he shared resulted in backlash from fans of Michelle Obama. 

According to SportsKeeda, DJT Jr. recently shared an older meme that claims the former first lady is a transgender man while implying that former President Barack Obama is gay.

The meme triggered many, including Martina Navratilova, an LGBTQ Czech-American former professional tennis player.

Navratilova expressed her feelings on the matter in an X post, calling Trump Jr.'s meme "unf***ing believable."

What happened?

It's no surprise that the former tennis professional was upset with the meme, as she's an outspoken, Trump Derangement Syndrome-stricken celebrity, to say the least.

The meme was posted to Trump Jr.'s account on Sunday, which some labeled as "Transgender Day of Visibility." As of this writing, the meme is no longer live on his Instagram feed.

Navratilova expressed her anger at the meme by sharing another X post that read, "Donald Trump Jr. posts a meme accusing Michelle Obama of being trans and it’ll get no attention from the media. This open embrace of bigotry and conspiracy theories is seen as normal for the Trump campaign."

"What a pathetic loser Donald Trump Jr. truly is," the former tennis pro added.

The outlet noted that Trump Jr. has shared similar memes in the past, which have all sparked backlash from the LGBTQ community.

Many took to social media to downplay the situation, noting that it was obviously a joke. It's unclear why Trump Jr. took down the meme, other than presumably the amount of backlash it apparently sparked.

Calm down, social media users say

Some believe that the meme was taken far too seriously and shouldn't spark such strong emotions.

"This is what happens when people can't take a joke. They just keep pushing the joke until you learn how to ignore and move on with your lives. Until then if you are the one taking that seriously you are the butt of the joke. Stop putting emotions into things that don't have any," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Absolutely no sense of humor."

While this particular meme perhaps brought enough pressure to have him take it down, Donald Trump Jr. isn't the type to bow to the mob and will likely do it again.
