Madonna falls on stage after dancer trips, falls with her
Pop superstar Madonna fell onto the stage during a song in the middle of a performance in Seattle on Sunday when a dancer tripped while trying to pull a chair with her on it across the stage.
The male dancer tripped and lost control of the chair as he tried to drag it, then fell onto the stage and pulled Madonna down with him.
Madonna, who is now 65, was not hurt in the fall.
She stayed down for a minute looking dazed, then laughed and got to her feet to finish the song "Open Your Heart" as if the whole thing was part of the act.
Social media reaction
The social media reaction was predictable. One X user wrote jokingly, “Somebody getn fired."
“Grandma is gonna be sore in the morning,” a second person responded.
But the singer was good-natured about it.
“She laughed. 20 years ago she would sacked him on the spot!! 😂 love her,” one fan said.
“At least she laughed & has a sense of humor,” a second person replied.
The tour goes on
Madonna is in the middle of a delayed Celebration tour that got upended when she was hospitalized for a serious bacterial infection just before it was supposed to begin in July.
It finally did get going after she recovered, however, and will last until April when it ends in Mexico City.
“Less than four months ago, I was in a hospital and I was unconscious, and people were thinking, predicting that I might not make it,” she told fans at a concert in October. “It’s a f–king miracle that I’m here right now. My mother, god bless her, she must be watching over me. She said, ‘Girl, it’s not your time to go.'”
TMZ posted video of the fall and her reaction to X.
