Many believe President Joe Biden's cognitive health was covered up by those closest to him, including by Vice President Kamala Harris. 

According to the Daily Mail, a staggering number of U.S. voters believe Harris was at least somewhat involved in covering up the mental decline of the elderly, often-confused president.

The veil was lifted high enough during Biden's debate with former President Donald Trump to where the media or his allies in Congress could no longer hide his declining state.

That set of a chain of events that would ultimately end his bid for the White House, as he announced his withdrawal earlier this month.

The numbers don't lie

A newly released poll showed that a shocking number of people believe Harris helped conceal Biden's mental decline.

The Daily Mail noted:

But a whopping 92 percent of registered voters in a new YouGov/Times of London poll say that Harris was behind the efforts to conceal Biden's failing cognitive fitness and physical wellbeing as his staff maintained to press and the public that the president was fit for a second term.

Thirty percent of those who were surveyed believe Biden should resign from the presidency before his term is up in January.

Overall, 54% said they believe that there was a cover-up, whether initiated by Harris and/or others. But the numbers change significantly when asked if they believe Harris was behind it.

The Daily Mail noted:

Of those who do believe there was a cover-up, a resounding 68 percent think that Biden's No. 2 was 'a great deal' involved in concealing his true fitness. Seven percent said Harris was 'a little' to blame, while 17 percent feel she was 'somewhat' responsible.

Biden's mental decline had been on full display for anyone with eyes and ears. His increased number of gaffes, trips, and falls was especially painful to watch for those with parents or grandparents who experienced similar symptoms

Biden's family gets most blame

Most believe that Joe Biden's family members are the main culprits in attempting to hide his cognitive slips and decline.

Roughly 96% of the respondents who believe there was an attempt to hide Biden's mental state believe that Biden's family is responsible.

Many blamed the media, too. Eighty-eight percent of respondents think the media was in on it, and another 92% believe congressional Democrats are to blame.

Clearly, most registered voters are convinced that there was an obvious attempt to hide just how bad Biden had become.
