Former President Joe Biden was liberal with his pardoning/commutation pen, and some of the people he gave a second chance are ending up back behind bars.

According to Breitbart, one of the criminals who was gifted a commuted sentence by Biden was taken into custody this week after he was convicted of multiple drug-related charges in Alabama.

Willie Frank Peterson was charged this week by the Dothan Police Department on drug charges, landing him back in a cell after Biden cut his previous drug-related sentence short.

He was also hit with several firearms-related charges, according to police reports.

What's going on?

Peterson, in 2023, "was convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine which resulted in a six-year and three month jail sentence that began in September of that year," Fox News reported.

Thanks to Uncle Joe, Peterson had his sentence generously cut down to 20 months, ultimately resulting in Peterson being let back out on the streets where he quickly became a statistic as far as being incarcerated once again.

"But on Monday, Peterson was booked for multiple drug-related offensives in Dothan, Alabama. The Dothan Police Department charged Peterson with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of marijuana,” Fox News reported.

The outlet added, “Peterson was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and three firearms-related offenses, per police records."

Peterson was one of 2,500 offenders who received a commutation from the president, part of a group of "nonviolent" offenders who received a generous break.

Social media reacts

Users across social media commented on Peterson's latest arrest, with many not shocked that a previous offender would end up back behind bars for similar alleged crimes.

"All of Biden’s pardons that he didn’t sign need to be voided. All of them," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "I think all pardons were invalidated...so he is where he belongs unless we can deport him."

It's sickening to wonder how many more of those thousands of offenders will eventually be back in prison.
