Unfortunately, a man who was wearing a Trump 2024 MAGA hat was assaulted in New York City simply for supporting the former president as the election inches closer.

According to Breitbart, a man wearing the hat in a grocery store apparently enraged someone with serious Trump Derangement Syndrome, sparking an attack that resulted in broken teeth. 

The attacker, Robert Yott, 60, of Bath, was arrested by Village of Bath Police Department officers at a Tops Friendly Markets store last Friday morning. The store is located on West Morris Street.

The attack marks yet another of its kind regarding Trump supporters and conservatives in general being assaulted simply for supporting a particular candidate.

What happened?

Village of Bath police officers released a statement on the brazen attack, describing what led to police being called to the market.

It was noted that the attacker wasn't known to the victim of the bloody, violent, politically-motivated attack during what should have otherwise been a peaceful grocery store trip.

"It was determined that Robert Yott, 60, of Bath, initiated a confrontation with a stranger inside Tops, after becoming aggressive over the fact that the stranger was wearing a Trump 2024 hat," the department wrote.

It added, "Mr. Yott punched the victim in the mouth and head several times, causing the victim’s teeth to be broken and mouth bloody. Mr. Yott was not known to the victim and this appears to be a random act of violence."

Because of his stupid, alleged actions against the innocent victim, Yott has been charged with "one count of second-degree assault, and fourth degree criminal mischief," according to the outlet.

"Looks like that Trump supporter will have a strong civil lawsuit and drian Mr. Yott of tens of thousands of dollars," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Conceal carry, folks. Follow the law, do it legally, know your rights to self defense. Keep yourself safe. There are animals out and about."

That's good advice, especially in this day and age. One never knows when a "tolerant" liberal will lose their marbles over an article of clothing.
