Man who wanted to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh now identifies as female
In the aftermath of the Dobbs decision leak that overturned Roe v Wade, conservative Supreme Court justices found themselves in an increasingly hostile environment -- even including an attempt on one of their lives.
According to the Daily Caller, Justice Brett Kavanaugh came dangerously close to losing his life in the wake of the bombshell decision leak at the hands of a man who now identifies as transgender.
Court documents that were revealed Friday indicated that Nicholas Roske now identifies as transgender as he faces the possibility of a 30-year sentence for nearly carrying out an assassination on a sitting Supreme Court justice.
In June 2022, Roske was arrested outside of Kavanaugh's home carrying burglary tools and a firearm. He even admitted to responding officers that he intended to murder Kavanaugh.
What's going on?
In a court filing revealed last week, attorneys for the accused revealed that he's now going by "Sophie Roske."
Roske's defense attorneys demanded that the court refer to him with the updated, female pronouns.
"The case is captioned as United States v. Nicholas John Roske,” the defense attorneys wrote. "That name remains Ms. Roske’s legal name, and she has not asked to recaption the case. Out of respect for Ms. Roske, the balance of this pleading and counsel’s in-court argument will refer to her as Sophie and use female pronouns."

Nicholas Roske was using the name "Sophie42#6535" on Discord as early as 2022, per court filings.

The Daily Caller noted:
As recently as this year, Kavanaugh received a letter stating he must “die” that referenced Roske’s name, which shows his actions “will continue to have consequences for the Court and its members for years to come,” the government argued in its sentencing memo.
The government memo added: “This Court’s sentence must send the unequivocal, clear, and strong message that attempted violence and threats of violence against members of the judiciary — as well as other public and federal officials — cannot and will not be tolerated, and will be justly and severely condemned."
Social media responds
Users had plenty to say about the sudden gender change.
"He should remain named by his true name, not his delusional fantasies trying to deflect blame. Then lock him up for the rest of his life without any possibility of parole. An asylum is perfectly acceptable," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "Who, what is turning our kids into monsters?!?"
Roske's sentencing hearing is set for Oct. 3.
