Five people were tragically shot and killed in Cleveland, Texas on Friday.

According to Fox News, a manhunt for Mexican national Francisco Oropeza is currently underway, as Texas authorities named him as the suspect in the killing spree.

The shooting reportedly took place after a neighbor had asked Oropeza to stop firing his rifle, citing the loud noise keeping his baby awake late into the night.

The suspect, 39, reportedly then murdered five of his neighbors, "execution style."

"Could be anywhere"

San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers, at a press conference, said that Oropeza "could be anywhere now.

According to Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Houston Field Office, the suspect should be considered "armed and dangerous" and a "threat to the community."

Aside from manpower, authorities have also used dogs, officers on horseback, and drone technology to help search for and hopefully find the suspect.

Dogs found some of the suspect's clothing, and they were able to trace his scent until they hit the waterline.

Fox News added:

What happened next is shocking. Police say the man walked up to the front door of his neighbor's house and began firing. One victim was found by the doorway leading into the living room. Another victim was found dead in the living room. Two more women were found shot dead upstairs, their bodies shielding young children who survived and were taken to a hospital.

What's his status?

Notably, top officials, including Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, wouldn't reveal Oropeza's status as far as whether or not he's living in the United States illegally.

Local authorities also refused to reveal that information.

The victims of the horrific murder, all from Honduras, were named: Sonia Argentina Guzman, 25; Daniel Enrique Laso, 8; Diana Velazquez Alvarado, 21; Julisa Molina Rivera, 31; and Jose Jonathan Casarez, 18.
