In a move that could well be cause for panic at the White House, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is demanding that members of the Biden family be drug tested. 

Greene's call for drug testing came immediately after Fox News reported that the Secret Service had closed its investigation into who left a bag of cocaine at the White House.

Suspicion falls on Hunter Biden

"I had a classified briefing with my (Committee on Oversight and Accountability) members with Secret Service, and I don’t think we’ll ever find out whose cocaine it was in the White House," Greene was quoted as telling Breitbart in an interview on Saturday.

"Because the day we had the briefing, just this past week, Secret Service told us they were closing their investigation the very next day, and they have no idea who it is," she explained.

Many conservatives voiced suspicion that the drugs belonged to Hunter Biden, who has had a long and well-documented history of drug use.

Many Americans are subjected to drug testing for employment

What's more, Biden entered into a controversial plea deal under which he managed to avoid jail time for lying about his addiction before purchasing a firearm, a fact that sparked outrage on the right.

During her Saturday interview with Breitbart, Greene argued that drug testing the Biden family is reasonable given the experience of many Americans.

"Well, you know, most Americans have to undergo a drug test just to get employed or as a routine part of their employment," Greene pointed out.

Greene: "I’ll do a drug test too"

"Athletes have to go through drug tests to be on a sports team. Drug tests are common, but they are refusing to drug test any of these people. They’re refusing to do anything with fingerprints and things like that," she continued.

"I think it’s really a shame none of us will ever find out whose cocaine it is. But I think the First Family should submit to a drug test," the congresswoman insisted.

"If anyone has an issue with that, I’m fine — I’ll do a drug test too. But I’d like to see Joe Biden, I’d like to see Hunter Biden and the First Family and all of the White House staff do a drug test," Greene concluded.
