Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, a former close associate of the late convicted pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, met with a top Justice Department official this week to be questioned at length about her former boss and boyfriend.

According to an unnamed source, this was the first time Maxwell had ever been seriously questioned about the other people Epstein associated with, and she "told the truth" about everything she was asked, the Daily Mail reported.

That includes providing honest responses about the "big names" and influential individuals who are rumored to be linked to Epstein's scandalous sex trafficking of underage girls.

Lengthy interview and "limited immunity"

ABC News reported on Friday that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with and questioned Maxwell for a total of nine hours over two days at the federal prison in Tallahassee, Florida, where she is serving a 20-year sentence.

"We don't want to get into the substance of the questions," Maxwell's attorney, David Markus, said of the meetings. "There were a lot of questions and we went all day and she answered every one of them. She never said 'I'm not going to answer,' never declined."

The lawyer said his client was asked about "maybe 100 different people" during the interview and "didn't hold anything back," though he declined to divulge any specific names. As for reports about offers of "immunity" and a pardon or commutation, Markus insisted, "We haven't asked for anything. This is not a situation where we are asking for anything in return for testimony or anything like that. Of course, everybody knows Ms. Maxwell would welcome any relief."

NBC News reported that, per an unnamed senior administration official, Maxwell was granted limited immunity in exchange for her testimony to Blanche, which would prevent the DOJ from charging her with any additional crimes that she may have been involved in.

The outlet noted that the offered immunity is "limited" in that it only applies to what was discussed in the interview and is contingent upon her being entirely truthful in her responses. If it is later determined that Maxwell lied about anything, the immunity agreement could be voided.

"Big names" named

The Daily Mail reported that an anonymous source familiar with what transpired in the interview said of Maxwell, "This is the first time anyone has asked Ghislaine about any of the men. She told the truth and didn't back away from any questions. She wants the truth to come out."

"Ghislaine has never told her story to anyone in government before. At times, it was very emotional, but she answered every question asked of her," the source continued. "The limited immunity deal is a huge risk for her because this case is so politicized, she only has immunity so long as she hasn't lied. She answered everything truthfully, but she is taking a risk."

The source further claimed that Maxwell answered "honestly and truthfully" about all of the "big names" she was asked about, who are rumored to have been linked to Epstein, though not necessarily involved in any criminal wrongdoing.

"She was asked about a laundry list of people, including Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, Les Wexner, Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz, Leon Black, and a Who's Who of powerful Wall Street moneymen and financiers," the source revealed. "There were Silicon Valley names in there, along with world leaders, other non-British royals aside from [Prince] Andrew, and famous names from the world of showbusiness."

"It's ironic that Elon Musk kicked this whole thing off when he fell out with Trump and then made that post on X about Trump allegedly preventing the release of the full Epstein documents as some sort of 'cover-up'. Well, Elon is in there, as is his brother," the source added. "It was a monumental moment for Ghislaine to finally be asked about these people and to tell the truth."

Potential pardon or commutation

As for the rumors of a potential pardon or commutation of Maxwell's sentence, the Daily Mail reported that the anonymous source said, "Of course she wants a pardon, what prisoner doesn't? But that isn't something which has been discussed."

"The President could commute her sentence in return for her cooperation. No one knows what will happen now," they continued. "Todd Blanche will sit down with President Trump when he returns from Scotland, and that is when the discussions about any potential deal will take place."

The source further mentioned the mounting "death threats" against Maxwell, Blanche, and others, and the extra security precautions that have been put in place to protect them, and added, "She has been silent for so long. She has always vowed to tell the truth, and she did so this week. Where this all leads, only time will tell."
