Rolando Salinas, the mayor of Eagle Pass, Texas, went on CNN’s “OutFront,” on Thursday and accused President Joe Biden and his administration of abandoning his city.

Salinas told CNN that, "I haven’t heard from anybody in the administration. The President hasn’t put out a statement, the vice president, I haven’t heard from anybody. Nobody has bothered to call me, anyone in the city staff saying, hey, this is the federal government, we know what you’re going through, we’re worried about you, this is our plan of action, nothing. We’re here abandoned. We’re on the border. We’re asking for help. This is unacceptable."

Eagle Pass, like many other border towns, have been left to the mercy of thousands of illegal immigrants crossing the border thanks to the President's insane immigration policy.

Thankfully, they aren't completely on their own thanks to Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) who has done his best to provide resources and relief.

Biden missing in action

Salinas thanked Abbott saying, "Fortunately, we have the help of our state partners, DPS, the governor, our federal agencies, Border Patrol. They’re helping, and they’re controlling the situation as best as they can."

He then went on to add, "It’s a shame that we don’t have immigration reform and a solution to prevent situations like this. I don’t know why things have come to this."

The reason south Texas is in this terrible situation is because of deliberate actions taken by the Biden administration.

An anonymous source from within the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency told Breitbart News that the Biden administration instructed the agency to process and release the thousands of migrants crossing the border near Eagle Pass.

That source stated, "We got crickets from them while this was going on. We have become well practiced at moving bodies around quickly and moved everyone into place to avoid heat-related health issues. The only instructions we have received thus far is to quickly process and release as many of the migrants as we can to accommodate more expected large crossings."

That decision from the Biden administration has only made things worse.

Breitbart's source explained, "This all started here when we began releasing single adults. Once word got out, it just got worse from there."

Thousands more on the way

Migrants know that they will face no repercussions nor any form of deportation for crossing the border. So now there are reportedly thousands more coming and towns like Eagle Pass will soon have more migrants than citizens.

What is worse is Mexico is doing nothing to stop the flood of illegal immigration and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has even demanded that President Biden further facilitate migration across the southern border.

President Biden's reckless and dangerous immigration policy has created a massive crisis and Americans in border cities are paying the price.
