The latest narrative from Democrats, dutifully echoed by their mainstream media allies, is that Republicans have failed to turn up any evidence whatsoever that links President Joe Biden to his son Hunter Biden's dubious foreign business dealings and corrupt influence-peddling.

Yet, the Republican-led House Oversight Committee has released troves of circumstantial and direct evidence that flatly contradicts the claim that the elder Biden is unaware of and uninvolved in his son's financial dealings, as was recently summarized by the Wall Street Journal.

The media's perpetuation of Democratic dishonesty about President Biden's potential exposure is but the latest in a long string of highly partisan hackery by the biased media in favor of Democrats like Biden and against Republicans like former President Donald Trump.

Evidence stacking up against Biden

The WSJ report first covered efforts by the House Oversight Committee and a private group's lawsuit to force the National Archives to turn over more than 5,000 emails and documents it has acknowledged possession of that feature then-Vice President Biden using pseudonyms on official government emails that either directly discussed Hunter Biden's business dealings or were shared with Hunter and his business associates.

It was also noted that the committee is seeking from the National Archives all documents related to then-VP Biden's use of Air Force Two to match the timing of flights -- particularly those where Hunter was a passenger -- to foreign countries in which Hunter and his associates were doing business.

The report especially focused on the Third Bank Memo released in mid-August by the committee that provided details on some of the Biden family's questionable financial transactions involving foreign entities that total more than $20 million typically received by multiple Biden family members in small increments funneled through a web of nearly two dozen shell companies and LLCs.

In a statement released along with the memo, Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) said, "During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden sold him as 'the brand' to reap millions from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. It appears no real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. And Hunter Biden seems to have delivered. This is made clear by meals at Café Milano where then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with oligarchs from around the world who had sent money to his son."

"It’s clear Joe Biden knew about his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be 'the brand' sold to enrich the Biden family while he was Vice President of the United States," the chairman added. "The House Oversight Committee will continue to follow the money trail and obtain witness testimony to determine whether foreign actors targeted the Bidens, President Biden is compromised or corrupt, and our national security is threatened."

The complicit dishonest media

The biased mainstream media has been fully complicit in perpetuating for years what have now been exposed as blatant lies from President Biden about his supposed ignorance and non-involvement in his son Hunter's dubious foreign business dealings, according to a damning New York Post op-ed from Victor Davis Hanson.

However, that is far from the only example of the biased media's overtly favorable coverage of Biden, as the media has either dismissed or ignored evidence of alleged Biden family corruption since even before Biden became president, including during former President Trump's first impeachment and Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop during the 2020 election.

Of course, the media doesn't just lie by omission or twist facts in support of Biden and other Democrats but has also done the same for years in a series of direct assaults against Trump and other Republicans.

That partisan dishonesty also began before Trump became president and continued throughout the entirety of his tenure and after, ranging from "Russiagate" to the Mueller investigation and two impeachments followed by multiple criminal indictments in what are clearly politically motivated prosecutions.

Hanson aptly concluded, "For the last eight years, a discredited media has never expressed remorse for any of the damage they did to the country. And they will not again, when their latest mythological indictments are eventually exposed."
