Megyn Kelly asks whether Obama is running the U.S. government

Megyn Kelly just gave credence to the idea that, instead of President Joe Biden, former President Barrack Obama is the one who is actually running the U.S. government.

Kelly, the host of SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show, did so during an appearance that she made Tuesday on Newsmax.

"There are a lot of people who think the Obamas are already running the government and that there is some sort of shadow puppet situation going on that they’re controlling," Kelly said.

She added, "There’s been questions from the beginning — is it Joe Biden really making the calls?"

Indeed.

Kelly is right on the money here. From the beginning of Biden's administration, there has been speculation that Obama might actually be the one who is running the country - either directly or through intermediaries. There are several facts that would seem to provide circumstantial evidence for this belief.

For one thing, there is Biden's health - or lack thereof. This alone has suggested to many that Biden simply cannot be the one running the country because he does not appear to have the capacity to do so.

Then, there is the fact that Biden loaded his administration up with former Obama administration officials, such as Susan Rice.

Finally, there is the statement that Obama, himself, once made during an appearance on The Late Show. Obama said:

I used to say, if, if I could make an arrangement where I had a stand-in, a front man, a front woman and they had an earpiece in and I was in the basement in my sweats … I’d be fine with that.

With all of this in mind, the idea that Obama is actually the one calling the shots is not that implausible.

The White House responds; and Obama 2024?

In addition to the idea that Obama is really running the U.S. government, there is another idea that former First Lady Michelle Obama - not Joe Biden - will actually be the Democrats' 2024 presidential nominee.

Kelly also spoke about this during her Newsmax appearance. "They think she’s the strongest leader. They think she’s their big hope," Kelly said.

Kelly, however, said that, in her opinion, Republicans would be highly motivated to show up on election day, in large numbers, and vote against Michelle Obama.

The White House was asked to respond to Kelly's remarks on Newsmax, and it did so by attacking Kelly.

The New York Post reports:

When reached for comment, a White House spokesperson told The Post: “Who is Megan Kelley? Is she a Whole Foods employee?” Aside from disparaging Kelly, the email misspelled the name of longtime news anchor and host of her own popular podcast.
