Megyn Kelly insists President Trump forget about pardoning Diddy

President Donald Trump recently hinted that he's not opposed to issuing a pardon for Sean "Diddy" Combs and it sent shockwaves through the MAGA world, just as his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files did.

According to the Daily Mail, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly was quick to warn the president that issuing a pardon for Diddy would be an absolute disaster, especially given the administration's handling of the Epstein situation.

She was reacting to reports that had surfaced earlier this week that Trump was "strongly considering" a pardon for the hip hop mogul regarding his prostitution charges.

The MAGA world is still trying to figure out how to respond to Trump's top Cabinet officials who seemingly changed their tunes on getting to the bottom of the Epstein files.

What did she say?

Kelly held nothing back as she warned President Trump to reconsider the possibility of pardoning Diddy, arguing that it could have dire effects on the entirety of the Republican Party.

"It's telling all these young vulnerable women they don't count, they don't matter. That even the top Republican president will cover up any wrong doing when it comes to that type of a victim," she said.

She said that the way the Epstein files situation was handled made it look like Trump was part of the global "elite cabal," and that his supporters elected him because he's not one of them.

The Daily Mail noted:

Pardoning Diddy 'would not help' Trump shake that reputation, 'not at all,' she continued, arguing the case against the rapper is 'the same thing.'

'There's already people thinking that there's a cover-up here,' Kelly said, insinuating other famous celebrities were 'being provided access to young women and drugs' at Diddy's infamous freak-off parties.

Kelly went on to say that pardoning Diddy would also hurt the Republican Party as it already struggles to capture female voters during election cycles.

"And they're not all lefties," she said. "There are young conservative women who aren't in love with Trump or MAGA. And this will not help."

"It just cannot happen," Kelly insisted.

Background

Diddy was ultimately found guilty on "two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution," escaping the more serious charges he faced of sex trafficking and racketeering.

"He got away with it. He was only found guilty on these two minor charges... let him at least serve the time on those," Kelly said.

Only time will tell if Trump will risk more MAGA backlash with a Diddy pardon.
