Former First Lady Melania Trump has maintained a relatively low profile since her husband left office more than three and a half years ago.

However, Mrs. Trump recently broke her silence to condemn the bombshell FBI raid on her home in August of 2022.

Former first lady calls her experience "a warning to all Americans"

According to the New York Post, the former first lady's remarks came in the form of a video which she posted to X on September 14.

"I never imagined my privacy would be invaded by the government here in America," she declared. "The FBI raided my home in Florida and searched through my personal belongings."

"This is not just my story, it serves as a warning to all Americans, a reminder that our freedom and rights must be respected," Mrs. Trump continued.

Former President highlighted FBI's authorization to use deadly force

The search was carried out as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith investigation into Mr. Trump's handling of classified documents. The charges he brought were ultimately dismissed by federal Judge Aileen Cannon.

While this may be the first time that Mrs. Trump has spoken directly about the FBI's raid, her husband hasn't hesitated to address it.

One example came this past May after it emerged that FBI agents were authorized to use deadly force while carrying out the search.

"WOW! I just came out of the Biden Witch Hunt Trial in Manhattan, the 'Icebox,' and was shown Reports that Crooked Joe Biden's DOJ, in their Illegal and UnConstitutional Raid of Mar-a-Lago, AUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETHAL) FORCE," Fox News quoted Trump as saying in a Truth Social post.

Mrs. Trump says there "is more to the story" of her husband's shooting

"NOW WE KNOW, FOR SURE, THAT JOE BIDEN IS A SERIOUS THREAT TO DEMOCRACY," the former president went on to add.

In addition to discussing the FBI raid, Mrs. Trump also raised questions about the attempt to assassinate former President Trump during a July campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

"The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrible, distressing experience. Now, the silence around it feels heavy," she recalled.

"I can’t help but wonder, why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech?" the former first lady asked before stating, "There is definitely more to the story and we need to uncover the truth."
