President-elect Donald Trump has dominated the headlines over the past two weeks by naming a vast majority of his Cabinet members and top advisers.

However, it's not only the president who gets to hire people for his administration. First Lady Melania Trump also made her first hire as she prepares for the White House life once again.

According to the Daily Mail, Mrs. Trump announced that she has hired Haley Harrison as her chief of staff. Harrison worked for the first lady during her first stint in the White House.

Harrison not only worked in the East Wing of the White House for Mrs. Trump, but she also moved to Florida after the Trumps left the White House in 2020.

What's going on?

Harrison and her husband, Beau Harrison, both employed as Trump staffers, have remained closely inside the president's inner circle for the past four years.

According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) reports, the Harrisons were paid by Trump's Save America PAC during his stay at Mar-a-Lago between elections.

Melania Trump clearly values loyalty at the same level as her husband, even making a point to highlight Haley Harrison's seven years of loyalty working for the Trumps in her hiring announcement.

"Hayley Harrison has been appointed as First Lady Melania Trump's Chief of Staff," Melania Trump's office announced in a social media post.

They added, "Mrs. Harrison has maintained an integral role and exceptional leadership on the First Lady's team over the past seven years. She has a strong understanding of White House operations, and as Chief of Staff, Mrs. Harrison will oversee and manage the East Wing's team while strategically liaising with other parts of government."

Social media reacts

"Such a great honour. Such a beautiful First Lady by far. So glad we have her back. We need some class back in our beautiful White House. God Bless you Mrs Trump!" one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Congratulations and best wishes for your continued loyalty to the First Lady and President Elect Trump."

Her husband, Beau, no longer works for the Trumps, according to the report.
