Melania Trump says her son is 'thriving' at New York Univerity
Barron Trump embarked on his college career last month when he began attending classes at New York University's Stern School of Business.
While the younger Trump has kept a relatively low public profile, the 18-year-old's beaming mother recently said that his experience in school has been good.
Mrs. Trump: Barron is "thriving" and glad to be back in New York City
According to Fox News, former First Lady Melania Trump made that announcement earlier this week during an appearance on its show "The Five."
"He's doing great," the former first lady declared on Tuesday. "He loves his classes and his professors. He's doing well. He's thriving, and he's enjoying to be in New York City again."
Former President Donald Trump has spoken warmly of his son as well, including in an interview with Philadelphia's Talk Radio 1210 WPHT this past May.
The former president described his youngest child as being "a good-looking guy" who is "funny" and sometimes furnishes him with political advice.
Podcast hosts were impressed with how Barron organized a dinner
However, Barron Trump isn't just receiving praise from his parents, as the college freshman managed to get positive reviews from a group of podcasters earlier this month.
Entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David hosts the "Valuetainment" show, and earlier this month he recalled attending a dinner event which Barron hosted.
Bet-David said he "watched Barron run dinner with stories, entertainment--everything" and expressed approval regarding his sense of humor.
"People were saying their dad came from a trailer home, everyone was telling their sob story, and Barron's like, 'Yeah, same here, I mean, I was born in the penthouse of a building all the way up top. Life was hard," Bet-David said with a laugh.
Barron unbothered by political attacks: "They've done it to every kid"
Bet-David's fellow podcast host Tom Ellsworth was also present at the dinner, and he remarked that Barron "wasn't snide, he wasn't telling dirty jokes, he was very, very balanced, talking about getting ready to go to college."
Host Vincent Oshana agreed, asserting that the former president's youngest son is a "witty, smart, hilarious" individual who has "a good head on his shoulders."
What's more, Bet-David observed that Barron seemed entirely unbothered by the prospect of being targeted for political attacks now that he is a legal adult, stating, "I don't care--good, do it. I get it, they've done it to every kid. What's the difference?"
