Melania Trump threatens $1B lawsuit against Hunter Biden over comments made about Epstein
If Hunter Biden was under the impression that his legal troubles were behind him, he'd better think again.
According to Fox News, former President Joe Biden's son received notice from none other than First Lady Melania Trump that he would be on the hook for a staggering $1 billion lawsuit if he failed to remove "false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements" he recently made about her.
She demanded that he not only remove the content immediately, but also ordered him to issue an apology.
The content and comments in question "were contained in a video interview with Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan and posted to YouTube in early August," according to the outlet.
What's going on?
A letter sent to Hunter Biden and his attorney Abbe Lowell was obtained by Fox News Digital. The letter was penned by Alejandro Brito, attorney serving as litigation counsel for the first lady.
In the letter, Brito demanded that Hunter Biden "immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging and inflammatory statements made about Mrs. Trump."
Melania Trump's lawyer made it clear that his client is dead serious, claiming that the former president's comments caused "overwhelming financial and reputational harm" to the first lady.
"Failure to comply will leave Mrs. Trump with no choice but to pursue any and all legal rights and remedies available to her to recover the overwhelming financial and reputational harm that you have caused her to suffer," he wrote.
Fox News noted:
In the video interview, titled "Hunter Biden Returns" video earlier in August, the former first son claimed "Epstein introduced Melania to Trump. The connections are, like, so wide and deep."
Biden also claimed that "Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania, and that’s how Melania and the first lady and the President met."
Melania Trump to sue Hunter Biden for $1B if he doesn’t retract his lie that Epstein introduced her to President Trump.
Hunter continues to cause major issues for the Biden family and Democrat Party. The more he’s in the public eye, the better for Trump and the Republican Party. pic.twitter.com/PdKlILAPTX

It'll be interesting to see if Hunter Biden complies or if he doubles down and keeps his comments up.
