Beloved Mexican social media influencer Denisse Reyes built up an international fan base by striking glamorous poses on Instagram and TikTok.

However, those same fans were recently left heartbroken when the  27-year-old social media star died two days after undergoing cosmetic surgery. 

Reyes reportedly went into cardiac arrest following surgical procedure

According to the New York Post, Reyes went to the San Pablo Medical Clinic for liposuction last week but had a negative reaction to the medication that she was given.

Ammao Rodriguez is Reyes' uncle and he told the Daily Mail, "She starts to feel sick and goes into cardiac arrest and at that moment they take her out of the room where she was in the [clinic]."

Rodriguez stressed that his niece, who leaves behind an 8-year-old son, had not been suffering from any prior health conditions.

"May the authorities do justice to Denisse and may the doctor pay in some way for what he did," Rodriguez was quoted as saying.

The Daily Mail reported that Reyes allegedly received an injection from Dr. Orlando Gamboa just prior to undergoing the procedure.

While Gamboa has since denied that he was involved in treating Reyes, the Daily Mail recalled how this past December he was accused of causing the death of another woman who underwent liposuction.

Reyes told the Daily Mail that he has spoken with health authorities in the Mexican state of Chiapas about filing a lawsuit against Gamboa.

"Sister, I love you with all my heart, what is happening hurts my soul, I would like to turn back time but it no longer exists," she declared.

"As always I’m going to come out defending you defending your name and the way you're being talked about, it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later," Massiel continued.

"Always controversial, always outgoing, always YOU. I will love you with all my heart all my life," she went on to declare.
